The irony of rural development is that despite many well-intentioned interventions by a number of development agencies, some rural areas have never gained any tangible impact on the lives of the locals by such high profile intervention measures!

This brings us to the recurrent crucial question: is it the rural development approach which is wanting or it is just a matter of public service accountability?
